With the nights drawing in many triathletes will be soon dusting of their turbo trainer, converting the garage into a pain cave and planning their assault on the 2017 race scene. Here at Peak XV we firmly believe that using a turbo trainer throughout the year is a fantastic and time efficient method of training.
In order to get the most reward for your sweat we feel it’s important to maximise your efforts by using accurate training zones whether they are heart rater or power based. There are a number of ways to calculate the correct training zones ranging from the 220 minus your age theory ( this is where the 220 magazine got its name) Karvonen formula and full on laboratory testing. Each of these methods have their advantages and disadvantages.
Over the past three years we have been offering bike testing which offers laboratory standard testing but at an affordable price.
