For the fifth year running Peak XV Triathlon Coaching is hosting a training weekend specifically aimed at triathletes competing at Ironman UK.
The weekend will be packed with advice, tips and even some inside information. By the end of the weekend participants will be totally familiar with all aspects of the race by having the unique opportunity to swim, bike and run the route accompanied by highly experienced and qualified coaches.
The weekend will be informative, informal and hopefully fun. The date for this exciting weekend is 15th-17th May 2020.
The base for our weekend will be Bolton Arena, conveniently located adjacent to the University of Bolton Stadium.  For those travelling to Bolton for the weekend there are a number of hotels locally, including a Premier Inn one minute walk from Bolton Arena and three minutes away from Horwich Parkway railway station.

The weekend will commence on Friday night with a coached pool based open water session. This provides not only a chance to meet fellow participants but will cover sighting, drafting, swim tactics and equipment choices all specific to swimming in Pennington Flash.
Saturday morning we will head over to the Flash where participants will have the choice of either a coached open water session or the opportunity to swim at their own pace. After the swim and once everyone has had the chance to shower and warm up we will head over to the country park where T1 will be located on race day.
Back at the arena we will host a Q&A session where we will cover every aspect of the race including registration, transition bags, equipment choices, logistics for spectators and race day tactics.
Following lunch we we will head out to Queens Park to view the transition area and run the route. The group will be split into 3 smaller groups and each group will have a coach to act as guide and to point out aid stations, toilets, the best spectating areas etc. 
Saturday evening we will head to a local restaurant for tea (dinner if you are from the South or supper if you are posh).
Sunday morning we will split into three ability groups and head out for a lap of the infamous bike course. Each group will have a coach and guides who will point out all the features of this challenging course.
The weekend will finish with a final opportunity to ask any questions which have not been covered
