<h3><em><strong>Athlete Profile</strong></em></h3>
How long have you been involved in Triathlon?
I took part in my first triathlon in May when I took part in Horwich Triathlon. Since then I have taken part in a Sprint and Olympic distance Triathlon.

Why did you decide to get a coach?
I have entered Ironman UK for 2016 and given the amount of training and personal commitment required I thought the addition of a coach would be beneficial to guide me through a structured training plan that was personal to myself rather than follow a generic plan from a book.

How did you hear about Peak XV ?
Members of the Triathlon club I am involved in have used Garrie’s coaching services before, when the opportunity arose to join in coached the swim sessions (my weakest discipline) I jumped at the chance and haven’t looked back. Garrie came highly recommended by the people I spoke to and after researching his background I was happy to join his team and have been really happy with the progress I have made in a relatively short time.

What attributes did you look for in a coach?
Someone who has ‘been there, done it, worn the finishers t-shirt’ and is able to share his knowledge and experience to help me achieve my goals. I also wanted someone who is prepared to say it as it is and not say what you want to hear.

How would you describe the coaching support you have received so far?
Since training with Garrie the support I have received so far has been excellent. My swim has improved massively and I know that if I have any questions I can always send Garrie a message and he gets back to me straight away. In terms of the training plans that have been prepared for me these have added the structure and discipline that I was lacking and would have continued to lack all the way up to Ironman.I have no doubt that this support will continue all the way to July 2016 and that when I have moments of doubt Garrie will be there to offer words of wisdom.

What were your goals for 2016?
To complete Ironman UK in my home town of Bolton. I also wanted to complete the Outlaw Half that would form part of my training for Ironman.

Did you achieve them?

I am really happy to say that I completed both!
