How long have you been involved in triathlon?

I haven’t ever done a triathlon before so this will be my first event. I completed the London Marathon in 2012 but have never added in a swim and bike!!!

Why did you decide to get a coach?

I have only given myself 10 months to get ready for a full Ironman so I didn’t want to waste any time getting to grips with the 3 physical disciplines. I needed someone experienced to set me on the right path with achievable training plans and goals, all within the set time frame.

How did you hear about Peak XV Tri Coaching?

From personal recommendation.

What were the attributes that you looked for in a coach?

– Experienced/knowledgable (of triathlons and Ironman)

How Would you describe the coaching support you have received so far?

Very good. My current level of fitness and experience was assessed and my training plans were set at the right level to begin with.

My weekly progressions have been spot on and I am improving at the right rate. An emphasis is placed on keeping injury free and I like this.

My weekly training plans are always given on time and are clear to understand.

I very much enjoy having the training app the coach provides, this way I can see my weekly sessions quickly and then update my completed training easily so he knows how I have done.

What are your goals / races for 2016?
My goal is to be the fittest I’ve ever been and complete Ironman UK – Bolton in July 2016.
