Whether you have just entered your first Ironman or you are an experienced age group athlete looking to represent Great Britain in the future, we can help you achieve your goals. Our coaches have a combined total of over 35 years competitive experience and over 30 years experience of coaching triathletes. All of the coaching we provide is pragmatic, realistic and based on the latest sports science.
Peak XV Coach Garrie Prosser is a British Triathlon Level Three High Performance Coach and also has qualifications / certificates from Lancaster University, City College Manchester, Swim Smooth and recently Training Peaks University. Garrie also tutors freelance for British Triathlon on their Coach Development courses.
Garrie recently became a full time professional coach after a long and successful racing career including qualifying for World Championships at Ironman, 70.3 and Standard Distance. He finished his racing career with personal bests of 9hr 20 for Ironman, 4hr 22 for 70.3 and sub 2 hr for Standard Distance. We offer two different coaching packages aimed at all abilities. At the heart of all our coaching offers is our bespoke training plans. Our training plans are totally personalised and written specifically for you, taking into account your current level of fitness, experience and the time you have available to train. Professional swim coaching:
These sessions can be delivered either 1-1 or in groups of up to 4. Using both underwater and overhead video footage and radio headsets these session will help identify errors in your swim stroke. Following the video session a 1-1 analysis review meeting will be held to discuss the results and a complete set of specific swim drills and example swim sessions will be provided. Monday 2 sessions 7.15pm – 9.15pm and Thursdays 8.45pm-9.45pm in Bolton. These sessions are aimed at those swimmers looking for professional swim coaching in a friendly and informal setting. Numbers are limited to ensure that the lanes do not get too crowded. The session is suitable for all levels of swimmer. Full details can be found here. Examples of the swim sets can be found here.
