Delighted to announce that Peak XV founder Garrie Prosser is only one of a handful of coaches to have successfully graduate as a Level 3 High Performance Coach. This follows a year-long course including several training weekends at Loughborough University.
For those not familiar with the coaching structure of triathlon in Great Britain there are three levels.
Level 1: This is the introductory qualification for coaches. After completing the course a Level 1 coach can prepare, deliver, review safe and effective sessions.
Level 2: This is the qualification that a club coach will normally hold. After qualification a Level 2 coaches can plan, lead and evaluate group coaching sessions. They are not, however qualified or insured to coach on a 1-1 basis.
Level 3: According to British Triathlon the Level 3 Certificate is designed for coaches who are committed to becoming the best coach they can be, with a desire of improving both their theoretical and practical coaching skills. The L3 is the highest qualification available and is the only one for which a coach is qualified and insured to work on a 1-1 basis with clients.
Achieving this qualification means that we are able to offer a new and exciting, more interpersonal coaching package which will sit along with our existing packages. More details to follow.
